MILAN - A Milan appeals court upheld a tax fraud conviction against fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
The court gave them a suspended sentence of 18 months in jail yesterday.
It shaved two months off the sentence because the statue of limitations applied to certain facts in the case.
Dolce and Gabbana have denied charges they used a luxembourg company to avoid paying taxes on millions of dollars of royalties.
A lawyer for the designers said they would appeal the decision.
