CORPUS CHRISTI - A group of firefighters were reunited today with a dog they saved from a house fire nearly 2 weeks ago. 'Hobo' the dog was found unconscious in the burning home where his owners were died in an apparent murder-suicide.
Firefighter Lester Garza says a crew put on oxygen mask on the dog to bring him back to life but he ran back into the home.
They eventually got him back out and he's undergone treatment at Animal Care Services for smoke inhalation.
The group People Assisting Animal Control hopes the owner's next of kin will come forward and claim the dog, if not he could be put up for adoption or face euthanization.
We'll let ya know if and when he's up for adoption. Hobo is up to date on all his vaccines and is neutered.
