ORLANDO (WESH) - A man working as a security guard at Walt Disney World was arrested Tuesday in a child pornography investigation.
Thomas Wheeler, 46, is a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force and a current security guard at Disney's Animal Kingdom, according to a Polk County Sheriff's Office news release.
Wheeler was taken into custody after deputies said they executed a search warrant at his home and found disturbing images on his computer.
Detectives said Wheeler told them he'd been viewing child pornography for several years and that he enjoyed viewing the images because of the "innocence" of the children.
Wheeler's 23-year-old son said his dad confessed to downloading child pornography and seemed remorseful.
"I want to not believe it, but he did admit to it," said Chris Wheeler. "I know it's wrong and he should get some type of punishment but I hope its not too severe because he's always been a stand up guy."
