Discussion Expected Today on Indicted Kingsville School Board Member

KINGSVILLE - School board members for Kingsville ISD are scheduled to hold a special meeting today to discuss the serious charges filed against one of their own.

Rudy Macareno was indicted last week on charges of indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. While an arrest warrant was issued on Friday, Macareno did not surrender to authorities until Monday evening.

He was released on bond Tuesday afternoon.

The school board is expected to discuss whether Macareno will remain on the board.
