CORPUS CHRISTI -- Destination Bayfront is expected to go before voters in a November special election.
Project organizers gave a presentation on the bayfront re-design Tuesday afternoon, a week ahead of the council's scheduled vote on whether to send the project before voters in a bond election this fall.
Organizers said they now plan to ask voters for $44.6 million to help fund the first phase of the project, about $3.5 million more than originally expected.
