CORPUS CHRISTI - The Del Mar Board of Regents took a major step today towards expanding on the south side of Corpus Christi.
Regents approved the purchase of a 95 acre plot of land at the corner of Yorktown Boulevard and Rodd Field Road for $6.7 million.
College officials say they need to plan for a presence on the south side because of continued growth. There's no specific plans for the property at this time.
