Death Row Inmates Executed in Japan

JAPAN -- Japan executed three death row inmates today.

Among the men executed are a 29-year-old sentenced to death for a stabbing spree in 2008 outside a train station that left one person dead.

A 44-year-old inmate was sent to the gallows for the kidnapping and murder of a seven-year-old in 2004.

Officials also executed A 62-year-old convicted for strangling a bar owner to death in 2002.

These are the first executions in Japan since September 2012.
