CORPUS CHRISTI -- Allen Samuels Chevrolet held its third annual "Car Show to Benefit March of Dimes," Saturday morning.
Car owners were able to enter their vehicle for $20 and have it displayed on the lot. All of the money raised went to the March of Dimes' campaign to help save premature babies.
"I'm here to help the kids out," said Gilbert Gonzalez who drove his 1931 Ford street rod from San Diego. "Everybody needs help, and I figured it was for a good cause."
Awards for the "People's Choice," and "Best of Show," went to the vehicles with the most $1 donations from spectators.
There was also a concession stand that served food and soft drinks. A portion of those proceeds were also donated to the March of Dimes.
