Man Charged With Murder After Standoff Overnight - KZTV

CORPUS CHRISTI- Corpus Christi has already seen the first death of 2013.

Right before 3:30 Tuesday morning, police were called out to the 1000 block of Mciver at the Aztec Manor Apartments after people reported hearing gun shots.

Once police got there they found a man who needed to be taken to the hospital.

That man later died.

Police didn't specify what his injuries were, or if he had been shot.

Meanwhile, another man locked himself in an apartment with a gun, and the SWAT team had to be called out.

They were able to eventually coax the man out of the apartment around 4:30am.

Police haven't determined if this was a homicide.

The homicide detectives are looking to get a search warrant for the apartment later Tuesday morning.
