DALLAS - Some Dallas emergency responders helped look after eight children when the youngsters were found home alone and then dropped off at a fire station.
Child Protective Services took custody of the youngsters, ranging in age from 3 to 12 years old, as the mother was located and faces questions.
Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans says two women Sunday morning stopped at the home to check on the children. Evans says the women found the youngsters by themselves, then took the children to Fire Station 33.
Evans says firefighters entertained the children for about 45 minutes before Dallas police took custody of the youths. The children were later placed in foster care.
Further details weren't immediately available.
