Customer Cut Off by Bartender, Throws Cue Ball at Another Customer

CORPUS CHRISTI - A customer accused of starting a lot of trouble when he was cut off by a bartender was later found passed out in his backyard.

Witnesses tell police 48-year-old Eric Rollins grabbed a pool stick to show his anger inside the Keg Room before midnight Tuesday. Another customer got the stick away from Rollins, but he chucked a cue ball at the man's face, according to police.

By the time police got to the bar, Rollins had locked himself in the driver's seat of his truck with the engine running. Officers watched as Rollins sped off down Alameda where he lost them in a neighborhood.

However, the license plate on the truck came back to a nearby home. Sure enough, police found Rollins' truck in the driveway. Officers reported Rollins' wife answered the door and told police to check the backyard for her passed out husband.

He's charged with evading arrest and driving while intoxicated.
