CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman who runs the Ritter Laundry on Ayers says an angry customer was responsible for a break-in last night. The doors at laundry close automatically after ten, but it appears at least one customer may not have been aware of that.
The sign on the wall clearly states customers should not start drying their laundry after 9:45 p.m. as police would likely question why someone would still be inside the business after 10.
The unidentified woman apparently stepped out around 11:30 p.m. When she tried to get back in, she found herself locked out. So she kicked the side door until the glass shattered. The woman allegedly grabbed her clothes and left.
The manager tells us they have the entire incident on security video, but she could not provide a copy, citing corporate policy.
"I don't see, I don't understand why they, know they have their clothes here, and why would they leave you know, knowing that the doors are gonna be locked. Well, if they find the door is cracked they'll find a way to kick it, to kick it open, and finally she did," said Beatrice Salinas.
Salinas says this is the third time something like this has happened.
