Cunningham M.S. Student Suspended After Assault Investigation

CORPUS CHRISTI - C.C.I.S.D Police are investigating a an alleged assault involving two girls at Cunningham Middle School, seen in video posted on Facebook.
In the video, you can see one student continually punch and kick another student as she chases her down in a field. The other student did not make an attempt to defend herself against the much larger girl.
C.C.I.S.D Police believe the assault occurred sometime Wednesday afternoon in a field behind the school.
C.C.I.S.D Police say they've identified the two girls involved.
The attacker could face charges of assault, bodily injury, and terroristic threat.
Police say the threat charge is particularly important because the attacker clearly threatens harm to the victim before she chases her down and beats her in the field.
The attacker has been suspended and recommended for immediate removal to an alternative school.
