HOUSTON (KPRC) - A driver crashed his car into the roof of a house near Houston, Texas then flipped over and landed upside down on the roof of a neighboring home.
It happened in northwest Harris County around 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
According to investigators, the speeding driver failed to make a curve, drove through a field, hit an embankment and went airborne.
"Used that to go airborne to strike the first house. It inverted and somersaulted, landed on the roof upside down," said Assistant Chief John Laine with Harris County Sheriff's Department.
Susan Mistini said she thought someone was breaking into her home.
"I said, 'What's going on?' And he said, 'Hurry up, there's a car in your roof,'" said Mistini.
