Crash Involving Taxi Cab Sends Two to Hospital

CORPUS CHRISTI -A cab driver is recovering after an early morning crash.

Police say an SUV ran a red light at Staples and Saratoga just before two o'clock Thursday morning and plowed into a Green and Go Cab that was headed north on Staples Street. The impact of the crash also caused the cab to hit another car. Everyone in that car is okay, but paramedics took the cab driver to memorial hospital with serious injuries. He was last reported to be in critical condition.

The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police have yet to rule out alcohol as a factor in the crash.
