County Will Pay to Defend Employee in Defamation Lawsuit

KINGSVILLE - Kleberg County Commissioners decide to shell out tax dollars to defend an employee being sued by another employee.

The courthouse IT Director says the County Clerk defamed him during a recent media interview about problems with the network.

There's really one important question to this story. Does the county need to get involved in a lawsuit that doesn't name the county as a defendant?
