CORPUS CHRISTI - Police looking for a bank robber near Hamlin Shopping Center soon found themselves inside a home with drugs and counterfeit money.
Just after 1 p.m. officers saw a guy running down Chester Street towards a home. Once police went into the home they realized it was a completely unrelated crime scene.
Three men were detained when police noticed drug paraphernalia and counterfeit cash. The guy who was seen running down the street was let go. Police say he was just dropping a friend off and claims he had no idea there was drug activity in the house.
"This whole group is well known to the police department. They are continually out stealing, and taking things to feed their drug habit," said Commander John Houston.
So far, police have not arrested a suspect for the Capital One Bank robbery.
