CORPUS CHRISTI -People from Corpus Christi were among the 3 million pilgrims who joined Pope Francis for mass in Brazil on Sunday.
25 students and adults have been in Brazil since last week to follow the Pope's journey.
Some of their fellow church members and family had a chance to speak with them Sunday morning over Skype at the Corpus Christi Cathedral.
"It's not just travelling to another country and doing shopping, this is a sacrifice, this is a pilgrimage where they go and they find themselves and they find their relationship with god and just have that experience," says Jaime Reyna, Catholic Youth Director.
The group of pilgrims from Corpus Christi also attended mass that was held by the Pope on Sunday morning in Brazil.
Pope Francis urged crowd to go out and spread their faith, a message he spread to clergy as well during his trip.
This was his first international trip since becoming the head of the church.
It began on Monday and ended Sunday.
