Corpus Christi's Very Own Haunted House

CORPUS CHRISTI - It's halloween and we found a haunted house in Corpus Christi.
So haunted, that just a few years ago, the Discovery Channel's TV show "A Haunting" did a story on the paranormal activity that went on inside.
Homes are getting their decorations ready for the ghouls and goblins trick or treating tonight.
On the outside, a home at the 1200 block of Hayward Drive looks just like any other house ready for the scary holiday.
It has it's pumpkins and ghosts, but on the inside, apparently this house has a real ghost of it's own.
In fact, in 2007 A Haunting did a show called stalked By Evil.'
A different family lives in the house now, but the new tenants are aware of the house's reputation.
Joceln Benavides' father, Victor, lives in the house and says, "Another family was living here. And they were messing with the girl. And they locked her in one of the rooms."
She added, "It's haunted. You can just feel it. I won't go in by myself."
Benavides may be too afraid to go in the house, but she tells us what her dad has seen and heard, "He hears a lot of banging. They used to turn the TV on and off. The lights. My dad once saw his shadow."
And some neighbors, like Barbara Reid, have heard similar stories from the residents, "They hear the chairs rocking. They hear walking."
Benavides doesn't know how her dad has put up with the apparent spirit for around a year, "It is haunted, but I don't live here. And if it was my house, I would of left a long time ago."
Who knows, maybe the ghost will be out to scare some trick or treaters tonight.
