CORPUS CHRISTI - A 17-year veteran of the Corpus Christi Police Department has resigned following his arrest for driving while intoxicated over the weekend. Police made the announcement a short time ago that Sr. Officer Hector Corona had resigned.

A fellow officer pulled Corona over as he was seen driving in an unsafe manner near S.P.I.D. and Nile around 3:00 a.m. Sunday. Corona was not on-duty at the time of his arrest. The department had placed Corona on restricted duty during their investigation.
