Corpus Christi Native Killed in Midland County Crash

MIDLAND COUNTY - Officials have released the identity of the man killed in a high speed accident on Wednesday night.

DPS Officials tell NewsWest 9, 37-year-old Michael Ray Ware of Corpus Christi, Texas was killed in the accident.

The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Interstate 20, near mile marker 145 in Midland County.

Officials say an 18-wheeler was pulling out of a private driveway when a vehicle driven by Ware collided with the trailer.

Ware died at the scene.

Officials say Ware was wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred.
