CORPUS CHRISTI -- Joshua Yanez returned home to Corpus Christi Friday afternoon after spending several days aboard the stranded Carnival Triumph cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico.

Yanez, 25, who is a 2006 graduate of W.B. Ray High School, was stranded at sea after a fire engulfed one of the engine rooms last Sunday. The ship was left adrift before being towed to Mobile, Alabama.

Our Mike Manzoni will have an interview with Yanez tonight on 6 News at 10.
