CORPUS CHRISTI- A Corpus Christi man is raising a stink over a mess he blames on a waste water crew.
Jose Vera says the crew was working on some lines on Mannsheim when sewage suddenly backed up into his home on Cheryl Drive.
Vera says huge geysers of sewage began spewing out of his two bathrooms.
His home of 38 years was flooded with stinking water and sewage.
Vera contacted the work crew but they told him to call city hall.
Vera was able to get ahold of a waste water supervisor who came over to his home.
The waste water official took pictures of the mess and told Vera that the mess was indeed the city's fault and an adjuster would come by Wednesday.
Vera is upset that the city didn't clean up the mess in his home.
He says his elderly mother in law who lives with him suffers from pneumonia and Alzheimers.
He wanted the mess cleaned up Tuesday.
Now he has no idea how long he'll have to wait to get his home back to normal.
