CORPUS CHRISTI - Based on today's threat to the parish at Our Lady of Perpetual Help the diocese has placed the following after school programs on lockdown: Central Catholic, Christ the King, Holy Family, St. Pius X, St. Patrick, Most Precious Blood, Bishop Garriga Preparatory School.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School placed on lockdown due to an undisclosed threat made to the church. Several officers from the Corpus Christi Police Department were called to the campus at 5830 Williams as a precaution.
School officials say the school was not mentioned in the threat. However, as a result, a Christmas Dance scheduled for tonight will instead be held next Wednesday.
Police are not releasing any information as they look into the threat. Corpus Christi ISD schools were not placed on lockdown.
