Copper Thief Leaves Tools at Post Office

CORPUS CHRISTI - A thief who broke into a post office overnight left his tools at the scene.

A contractor who is doing work at the post office on Stonewall and Mckinzie told officers he noticed papers scattered all over the building.

So he decided to take a look around,that's when he noticed someone had stolen the copper tubing from the air conditioning units but left a bag of very expensive tools.

The suspect got away with about $500 worth of copper but the tools left at the scene are worth more than $700.
