RICHMOND - A Texas woman is alive this morning, thanks to the quick actions of a police officer.

The officer in Richmond, Texas was on patrol Sunday morning when he got a call of a woman sitting on some railroad tracks.

As the officer arrives on the scene, the crossing arm is coming down and he hears the train quickly approaching.

Within seconds, the train barrels through the area.

Both the officer and woman are OK, although the woman was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
