CORPUS CHRISTI - You may have noticed a large plume of smoke in the skies above Ingleside and Aransas Pass today. Its coming from a controlled burn of 3 to 5 acres of farm land owned by San Patricio County Commissioner Jim Price on FM 3512.
The burn is in accordance with a USDA burn plan. The Ingleside Fire Department says one reason this is done is to remove evasive species.
The burn can start one hour after sunrise, but must be out one hour before sunset.
