Controlled Burn in San Patricio County

ARANSAS PASS - The San Patricio County Sheriff's Office says a controlled burn in responsible for the large plume of smoke seen from across Corpus Christi Bay.

Viewer Justin Hernandez shared the attached photo on our Facebook page showing the fire burning near Aransas Pass.

The property is owned by County Commissioner Jim Price.

There is another fire, that is not a controlled burn, going on right now behind Lowes in Aransas Pass.
