CORPUS CHRISTI - The adult grandson accused of killing his grandmother and burying her dismembered body will be in court this afternoon for a mental competency hearing.
David Christy, 28, has remained in the Nueces County Jail since his arrest on a charge of murder in February. During that time guards claim they've found Christy with six plastic spoons sharpened into knives.
Authorities say Christy admitted to cutting up Johanna Christy, 77, with a chainsaw before placing the body parts in plastic bags to be buried in the backyard of her home on Bentwood.
