CORPUS CHRISTI - This morning a demolition crew tore apart two of the Columbus replica ships at the Museum of Science and Natural History.
The Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria were offered as gifts from Spain to the City of Corpus Christi.
As KRIS6 News has reported, years of mismanagement led to the deterioration of the ships. It became necessary for the Pinta and Santa Maria to be scrapped due to the huge costs ahead for repairs.
Andrew Ellison has more on today's activities tonight on KRIS6 News.
