Coastal Bend Blood Center Challenges Students to Donate

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Coastal Bend Blood Center kicked off a drive to challenge high school students to donate more blood than their rival schools.

The High School Hero Challenge started today at John Paul II High School. Officials say 30% of all donations collected throughout the year come from Coastal Bend students.

Seniors who donate 3 units of blood within the coming school year will wear red honor cords at graduation as part of the program.
