PORTLAND - Despite some interest from both parties, Matt Anastasio will remain at Gregory-Portland after pulling his name from the job search at Odessa Permian.
Anastasio told KRIS that he was honored to be involved in the search but is happy to be at GP.
We first reported on Tuesday that the Wildcat's football coach/athletic director, was one of three finalists for the highly coveted Odessa Permian job.
In two years with the Wildcats Anastasio led his squad to a record of 16-8, and a pair of trips to the postseason. This past season his team went three rounds deep posting a record of 10-3.
