SEATTLE (KING) - A coach and part-time teacher from a private school in Seattle has been jailed in Canada after allegedly secretly recording students during a field trip.
The Bush School's Head of School, Frank Magusin, said he found out Tuesday, December 10th that Jason Paur had been arrested.
"I mean it is disturbing and troubling," said Magusin. "We had no forewarning of anything. In fact, he has been a very popular coach among students and parents."
Paur is the cross county skiing and cross country running coach as well as a substitute teacher for the Bush School.
This week Paur was with eleven high school students and three adult chaperones on a school sponsored ski trip to Silver Star Ski Resort in British Columbia.
"We were called by one of the chaperones on the trip to just say that students found a camera running in their room," said Magusin.
