CORPUS CHRISTI - A couple of employees at Cabaret Gentlemen's Club on Leopard were arrested last night for public intoxication, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Police say officers were called out to the club just after the 2 a.m. closing time for an assault involving an employee. When the officers knocked on the door they heard a male voice, but he refused to open the door. They knocked again and were greeted by the voice of a man trying to sound like a woman.
The manager, 44-year-old Abel Perez, eventually opened the door. Perez and the doorman, 30-year-old Julio Salazar, were highly intoxicated, according to police.
Police say the alleged victim of the reported assault had already left the business by the time they arrived.
