CORPUS CHRISTI - A Corpus Christi man now has his own wheelchair ramp and it's all thanks to some generous volunteers. Raymond Rodriguez uses a wheelchair to get around and he says he's been having trouble getting up and down the steps outside his house. He doesn't have to worry about that anymore, however. The Corpus Christi Rotary Club built Rodriguez a wheelchair ramp.
Rod vaughn, a volunteer with the Rotary Club said, "All I want to do is make a difference in four hours on a Saturday morning and this is the way to do it."
The recipient of the ramp, Raymond Rodriguez said, "First, it was hard to find me and now you'll never find me." The Corpus Christi Rotary Club has built about 80 ramps over the years.
