CORPUS CHRISTI - Happy New Year South Texas! We saw a bit of some remaining showers and pockets of drizzle early this morning as a cold front made its way through the Coastal Bend and has left us with mainly overcast skies this afternoon/evening. Temperatures will slowly keep falling throughout the remainder of the day as cooler air continues to filter down into our area.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy to overcast skies with some drizzle not out of the question. Though, most of the activity will remain offshore and to our south. Temperatures will drop in the mid-40s with a northerly wind around 10-20mph.
Wednesday will be another cloudy and overcast day with a slight increase in some showers over the area as an upper level system lingers over the coastal waters and throws some moisture our way. Temperatures will be very chilly only getting into the mid-50s with a north wind around 10-15mph.
Cloudy skies remain in the extended outlook all the way through Sunday with temperatures remaining below seasonal average in the 50s and low 60s before the clouds start clearing up some on Sunday afternoon and temperatures slightly increase into the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Have a great day!
