CORPUS CHRISTI - A very nice start to the weekend as we have a few high clouds streaming over most of the Coastal Bend this afternoon and temperatures not getting too out-of-hand and staying in the lower 70s to upper 60s. We have slightly drier air that will continue to filter into South Texas, thanks to a high pressure system to our north, and will lead to another cool to chilly evening.

Tonight, expect a few clouds to stick around as overnight lows drop into the mid-50s with relatively light winds out of the east-northeast around 4-8mph.

Sunday, the clouds will begin to roll back into the area as a warm front, that is currently stationary in the Gulf of Mexico, will begin to lift back to the north in our general direction and deliver moisture levels back from the nice 40 and 50 dewpoint readings into the 60s. So, we will call it mostly cloudy skies with variable peaks of sun throughout the afternoon and highs in the mid-70s. Winds will also increase from today and be out of the east-southeast at 10-15mph with gusts around 20.

A cold front will begin to advance towards South Texas early Monday morning around 7-9AM and bring a small opportunity for some rainfall. For now, the best chances remain well to our north and we'll be lucky to get a trace to just a few tenths in our neck of the woods. As the front pushes through, winds will become very windy out of the northwest around 20-30mph with gusts as high as 35mph or higher. This will create elevated fire weather conditions and the National Weather Service may issue a Red Flag Warning as we head closer into Monday. As the front passes through, we will begin to clear out and cooler air will filter in and temperatures fall into the 40's by Wednesday morning as another front looks to arrive on Wednesday afternoon/evening.

Have a great weekend!
