CORPUS CHRISTI - A group of kids out for some late night joyriding almost ended up drowning.
Police say a 14-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl, and two 13-year-old boys had taken a pickup belonging to one of their parents.
A 4 a.m. Tuesday, police say they were doing some off road driving near Oso Creek when they ended up in a flooded drainage ditch.
They were able to get out as the truck went under water. The kids walked about 200 yards to call for help.
They were all cited for violating curfew and were turned over to their parents.
The truck was finally hauled out of the ditch around 10 a.m. this morning.
