CORPUS CHRISTI - Clems Marina is a popular spot at the Intercoastal. But if you've been there you know the parking lot is covered in potholes.
"It's pretty tore up out there. It's pretty raggedy. It needs to be fixed," said Clems Marina customer Antonio Ashcraft.
Ashcraft says he visits the Clems Marina pretty often and every time he drives out here, he knows his truck will take a pretty nice beating.
"It will beat your struts and shocks up because you have to dodge pot holes," said Ashcraft.
Cody Story, who works at Clems Marina, says he's seen worse.
"Sometimes if the boats aren't on the trailer correctly, I've actually seen a couple of them fall off in the middle of the parking lot," said Story.
Story says some customers have gotten so fed up waiting for the city to do something, that they've actually gone and filled some of the pot holes themselves.
But now the city says residents shouldn't have to worry about the nightmare of a parking lot much longer. They city says it now has the money and city council is set to approve the funds to fix the parking lot at Clems and Billings Marina at tomorrow's council meeting.
