NEW ORLEANS - A jury in New Orleans convicted Melvin Clay of second degree murder and obstruction of justice for the stabbing death of Corpus Christi native Ryan Lekosky. It only took the jury 2 hours to return with a verdict.

The Marine was killed when he intervened in a disturbance between his wife and Clay as they were leaving a Marine Corps ball back in 2010.

Clay will receive an automatic life sentence during a hearing later this month.
