Class 3A & 4A Girls State Powerlifting Championships Results & Highlights

CORPUS CHRISTI - On Friday the American Bank Center played host to the 2013 Girls State Powerlifting Championships with Class 3A and Class 4A taking center stage. At the end of the day we had a pair of state champs in Ingleside's Crystal Acosta and Alice's Sydnei Vela. Vela also set a state record in the squat. Below are the results:

Class 3A

132 Weight Class

1st - Crystal Acosta (Ingleside)

148 Weight Class

3rd - Desirea Persinger (Orange Grove)

165 Weight Class

3rd - Natalie Contreras (Orange Grove)

198 Weight Class

3rd - Miranda Henderson (Orange Grove)

Class 4A

114 Weight Class

1st - Sydnei Vela (Alice)

220 Weight Class

3rd - Ashley Olivarez (Beeville)
