Clarissa Serna Says There's More To Come

CORPUS CHRISTI - We've all been following Clarrisa Serna's journey on NBC's The Voice. Although she was eliminated from the show on Monday, she said this is just the beginning of more to come.

She said while she was on The Voice, she visited different schools, encouraging students to pursue their dreams. Now, those kids are the voices pushing her to keep going.

"Once I was eliminated from the show," said Serna. "They were the ones telling me, 'Remember Miss Clarissa, you told us not to give up, so you can't give up either,' and that like brings me to tears because... The tables are turning and they're motivating me."

She said while many contestants are discouraged by the elimination, she plans to use the national exposure to her advantage. Her band is already planning a tour around the state, and hopes for a national one in the future.

"This has been a wonderful opportunity," said Serna. "The whole point of doing the show was to gain fans, and to help with exposure, and I think that our mission was definitely accomplished."

Serna will perform at the Corpus Christi Hooks game this Saturday at Whataburger Field.
