City Thanksgiving 2009 Holiday Schedule

CORPUS CHRISTI - Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including the libraries and Municipal Court, will be closed Thursday, November 26, 2009 and Friday, November 27, 2009 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Museum of Science and History will also be closed November 26, but will open again on Friday, November 27.

The following Thanksgiving holiday schedule will be observed for Solid Waste Services for the week of November 23 - 28, 2009:

Garbage Collection: Mon./Thurs. routes will only be collected on Monday, November 23.
Tues./Fri. routes will only be collected on Tuesday, November 24.
Wed./Sat. routes will have no change in collection.

Recycling Collection: Recyclables will NOT be collected curbside on Thursday, November 26 or Friday, November 27. Recycling drop off sites at H.E.B. parking lots and the Fellowship of Oso Creek Church, 7402 Yorktown, will be open on Friday, November 27.

Landfill: The Citizens Collection Center located at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station will be CLOSED Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday, November 28, 2009.

The following schedule will apply to City Parks and Recreation facilities for Thanksgiving:

Tennis Centers: H.E.B. Tennis Center - will be CLOSED.
Al Kruse Tennis Center - will be CLOSED.

Golf Courses: Lozano Golf Center - will be OPEN 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Oso Golf Course - will be OPEN 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Public Pools: Collier Pool will be CLOSED Thanksgiving Day.
Natatorium CLOSED due to renovations.

Senior Centers: Will be CLOSED throughout the holiday weekend.

Recreation Centers: Will be CLOSED throughout the holiday weekend.

Marina: Will be OPEN regular hours.

Cultural Services: The Galvan House will be CLOSED throughout the holiday weekend.

Latchkey: Will be CLOSED throughout the holiday weekend.
