ROBSTOWN - If you have old tires or electronics piling up and would like to recycle them, the City of Robstown and Code Enforcement can help.
On Thursday, August 14th the city will host a tire collection event at Diaz Park (501 W. Ligustrum). Bring in your old, unwanted tires from 9am to noon.
The same process will be repeated on Saturday, August 16th from 9am to noon at Diaz Park. The only difference being used tires, electronics, and debris will be collected. The electronics recycling process is provided by Goodwill Stores. (See below for list of acceptable and unacceptable items)
Debris is defined as: tree branches, shrub and brush trimmings, old newspapers, magazines, building material, and construction debris.
Another collection effort for tires will take place on Tuesday, August 19th from 9am to noon at Beatrice Tagle Perez Park (900 Kansas St.).
Note: There's no fee for tire disposal, but you will need a copy of your utility bill for proof of residency. The city is only accepting passenger and light truck tires. No tire dealers please.
