City of Corpus Christi 4th of July Schedule

CORPUS CHRISTI - The City of Corpus Christi's annual 4th of July 'Big Bang Celebration' is just around the corner.
The '4 for the 4th' fun-run begins at 7am at the Solomon Ortiz Center near the Port of Corpus Christi.
A 11 am there will be a 'Stars and Stripes' parade along Shoreline Boulevard.
From 1pm- 9pm families are encouraged to stop by the Destination Bayfront park for live music and entertainment.
The fireworks show from the deck of the USS Lexington will get underway at 9:30 p.m.
Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including the libraries and Municipal Court, will be closed Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in observance of the 4th of July Holiday. However, the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History will be OPEN 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 4.
The following holiday schedule will be observed for Solid Waste Services:
Garbage Collection: Wednesday routes will NOT be collected Wednesday, July 4, but will instead be collected on Saturday, July 7, 2012.
Recycling Collection: Wednesday routes for curbside recycling collection will NOT be collected Wednesday, July 4, but will instead be collected on Saturday, July 7, 2012. The City Recycling Drop-off Centers located in HEB parking lots will be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 4.
Brush Collection: Heavy brush WILL NOT be collected on Wednesday, July 4.
Transfer, Collection Centers: The J.C. Elliott Transfer Station and Citizens Collection Center will be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 4, and will resume regular hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012.
The following schedule will apply to City Parks and Recreation facilities for the holiday:
Tennis Centers
H-E-B Tennis Center: OPEN July 4, 9am-2pm.
Al Kruse Tennis Center: OPEN July 4, 8:30am-6:30pm.
Golf Courses
Lozano Golf Center: OPEN regular hours.
Oso Golf Course: OPEN regular hours.
Public Pools
Collier Pool: Open July 4th, 3pm-6pm
Corpus Christi Natatorium: Open July 4th, 12pm-3pm
Greenwood Pool: Open July 4th, 12pm-3pm
H-E-B Pool: Open July 4th, 3:30pm-6:30pm
West Guth Pool: Open July 4th, 3:30pm-6pm
Joe Garza Pool: CLOSED
Oso Pool: CLOSED
Other Facilities/Programs
Senior Centers: Will be CLOSED
Recreation Centers: Will be CLOSED
Marina: Will be OPEN
Cultural Services: Galvan House will be CLOSED
Latchkey: Will be CLOSED
