City Manager Makes Pick for City Attorney

CORPUS CHRISTI - A new city attorney may be on the way for Corpus Christi. The city has selected Miles Risley, a prior city attorney for Wichita Falls and Victoria, to fill the vacancy.

Attorney Barney Knight is serving as an interim city attorney since the departure of Roxanne Cotroneo earlier this year. She withdrew her acceptance of the job after the city investigated allegations of inappropriate comments made to staff during her first visit to the office.

If approved by city council, Risley would start the job in late August.
