CORPUS CHRISTI - An amendment to allow dogs in restaurants with outdoor seating areas passed the first round of voting today.
Currently, the city does not allow dogs in restaurants.
Although, people used to bring their dogs to restaurants like Harrison's Landing all the time.
That is until a couple months ago when the city started cracking down on it.
The amendment would allow restaraunts that want to allow dogs in outdoor areas to apply for a permit.
The proposed annual fee for that permit is $50.
