Christopher Adams Arrested for Rockport Bank Robbery

ROCKPORT - The Rockport Police Department says U.S. Marshals assisted in tracking down a suspected bank robber this afternoon in Aransas Pass. 23-year-old Christopher William Adams is accused of robbing the IBC Bank inside the Walmart in Rockport on Friday.

Adams is being held in the Aransas County Detention Center on a $350,000 bond.

According to police, the suspect seen in a surveillance image from the bank handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect then fled the area.

The robbery lead to a lockdown at schools in Rockport as police searched on foot and by air for the suspect a little before school let out for the day.
