CORPUS CHRISTI - For those dealing with cancer, the holidays can be tough. Whether facing a cancer diagnosis, going through cancer treatments, or losing a loved one to the disease, the season often serves as a reminder that life is fragile.
For that reason, a Christmas party is being organized for cancer survivors and caregivers. It is an opportunity for those fighting cancer to be with people who understand.
The gathering will be held Tuesday, December 17th at the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development (3209 S. Staples) from 6-9 PM. A $5 donation will be collected at the door.
The party will feature live music, dinner catered by Rudy's BBQ, door prizes and a silent auction to benefit "Give Kids the World," a Florida resort where many Make-A-Wish kids visit.
Space is limited, so those who would like to attend are asked to RSVP by calling party organizer Rebecca Esparza at (361) 589-1002.
