CORPUS CHRISTI - Santa and his elves were out Friday delivering toys to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House this Christmas.
Currently, fourteen families are staying at the facility that allows parents to be near their children while they recieve treatment at Driscoll Children's Hospital.
This is the highest number of families staying at the house during the holiday season in the past several years.
This is the second year for Santa and community donors to come together to help families during the holidays at the Ronald McDonald House. With the help of Cintas Corporation, every child received the exact gift that was on their wish list.
"Our families are going through one of the most difficult times in their life, they have an ill child. Beyond the emotional burden there is a financial burden that comes along with that. The families don't need to worry about how they are going to provide gifts for their children with the wonderful partners that we have," said Mark Avelar, Executive Director at Ronald McDonald House.
